alright, so i thought i'd just do a little update/ recap on how things are rolling, and how this last week has been. maybe this will become a regular thing- weekly updates...

school has had ups and downs this past week. one of my best friends, who i just met in september, is moving to whitecourt on friday, which has been hard to process. it probably seems silly, being so caught up on someone leaving, who i haven't even known for a year, but we just clicked so well, and she was a total answer to prayer. i had been praying quite a bit for a friend to come into my life, who really understood me, and was just great to spend time with, and she was exactly that. so watching her prepare to leave, was hard. another hard thing was preparing for final exams. i only have math and la this semester, which are easy to prepare for, but it just seems to be a week of stress for everyone, leading up to the exams. HOWEVER! there were also some super amazing parts about my week! i sang on my church worship team for the first time! it was a very stressfully anticipated, but i absolutely loved it! i was on as a backup singer, and so i mainly did harmonies. however, as we neared the first bridge, melody told me to 'take it away!' and so i belted the bridge. it was such an amazing experience, and though i didn't sing on the sunday service, i loved the practice experience! my friend gave me her drink from starbucks, and taught me an important lesson: a vanilla bean frappuccio with a shot of hazelnut is truly just the most delicious thing ever.

we had a long weekend, which was awesome. i worked friday and saturday, and i just really enjoyed spending time with my work family. i had a pretty good weekend with my mom. we had lot's of fun goofing off together, and it's just great to have such an amazing friend in my mom. on sunday i went to church with my favourite chick, and after we had a starbucks lunch, we went to the public art gallery, and had a super fun photo shoot! i uploaded some photos to share!

anyway, holy cow, sierra is an insanely talented photographer! the beginning of this school week has been really good so far. i wrote a short story and an essay for my la part a exam (not thriving in la) and i write my math exam tomorrow. yesterday i had dance, and my teacher removed the crazy hard choreography we created last week, and replaced it with a beautiful new dance section. seriously a blessing, cause i SUCKED at the old choreo. i tried to sing shallow, from a star is born, and i hit all the notes. FEELING GREAT. it's been a good week, so here's to a fantastic week ahead!

tip for life: one panini from starbucks will not fill you. always buy two, for good measure.
